Jimmy Choo Pre-fall 2013 Preview

I was invited to Jimmy Choo’s pre-fall 2013 preview event earlier this month at Parco Caffe, all the way at Raeburn Park. They had a couple of gorgeous pieces for the upcoming season laid out for us to fiddle with.

The Pre-Fall 2013 collection celebrates the arrival of summer’s glamorous whirl of social events: from the Cannes Film Festival to the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party, from the Met Ball to the Monaco Grand Prix, from Coachella to Glastonbury. Jimmy Choo presents a collection for Pre-fall, aptly called “The Season” to transport you seamlessly through the season of events.

A celebratory mood prevails as the restrained, covered up styles of winter make way for the more extroverted and vibrant summer wardrobes where colours are bright and the air is heady with anticipation and possibility. Colour comes in a spectrum of lipstick shades; scarlet, raspberry and geranium alongside subtle metallics in bronze, antique gold and silver with pops of neon yellow and pink.

The LANCE strappy sandal comes in a rainbow of hues making it the Jimmy Choo girls’ go-to style.

Feminine lace adds romantic sensuality for evening in the FLAUNT bootie and SWEETIE clutch.

There’s always a hint of sparkle for the Jimmy Choo girl and the FREYA suede halter bootie with rhinestone strap creates a diamond necklace for the ankle.

ANOUK, the archetypal pointy stiletto works hard across the season in a myriad of colourways including a black suede and silver micro stud style that is the perfect fusion of ladylike style with rock n’ roll attitude. Laser cut petals provide a floral adornment to the ANOUK classic pointy stiletto and a ‘80s influenced degradé yellow neon fading to black style has a punky vibe.

Clutch bags come in an array of shapes and sizes completing your event wardrobe. The elegantly elongated CIGGY and signature CAYLA clutch come in classic black, red and silver micro-stud designs. The acrylic CANDY and SWEETIE clutches are dressed with glitter and lace and the COSMA streamlined cylinder clutch comes in a fun disco bar mix of colours. The CHARLIZE envelope clutch makes a minimal statement with metallic detailing contrasted with neutral black or suede body.

It wasn’t only just fashion at the event. Jimmy Choo laid out a delicious spread of high-tea samplers for us ravenous guests. These cupcakes really caught my eye:

We also got a boxful of these delicious treats from Cupcakes with Love as a thank you gift for taking time out to attend this preview. Seriously, thank you Jimmy Choo!(Okay, I bunged them up quite badly cos I went shopping before heading home so they kinda defrosted. But still tasty.)
