DHC Products

Err… I have something to tell you first. This is actually not a review, or a press release copy and paste editorial, or an advertorial. It’s about me being a marketer. I received a DHC promotional brochure in one of my VanityTroves and it totally appealed to my below-the-line collateral sense so I thought I’ll just blog about it.

(Partly because I’ll probably misplace it anyway, so having a digital back up masquerading as a blog post is a brilliant idea, if I do say so myself.)

The layout and the colours are just so pleasing to the eye. This is a four fold, and the outside is pretty boring compared to the inner contents. It might be a little texty but I think the images almost perfectly balance the entire artwork.

And the best bit? This brochure has samples stuck on it! I thought it was wonderful how these samples were incorporated into the design. Okay lah… this is a beauty blog so I’ll just stuff in the product descriptions with close up pictures of the samples alright?

Deep Cleansing Oil
Try this amazing cleanser and you’ll see why it’s our most popular product worldwide. Dirt, excess oil, makeup—even waterproof mascara—and other pore-cloggers dissolve easily, leaving your face a grime-free zone that is soft to the touch. Its unique water-soluble formula rinses completely, so you’ll never see a greasy residue. Olive oil and vitamin E help ensure you won’t see dryness either.
Mild Soap
This is no ordinary soap. This conditioning cleanser leaves skin refreshingly clean without that tight, itchy feeling. The emollient-rich lather goes to work on grime and dirt, leaving humectants to help maintain your skin’s moisture balance. This clear and simple bar—free of unnecessary colors and fragrances—works for anyone’s skin. It’s a great body cleanser, too.

(PS: There’s a tiny bar of soap in there, totally adorable!)
Mild Lotion
Marathon moisture. This revitalizing tonic helps your moisturizer go the extra mile in keeping your skin freshly hydrated. It’s alcohol-free for gentleness, and blended with soothing cucumber juice to keep things cool.
Olive Virgin Oil
Beauty comes naturally. If you thought you’d never put oil on your skin, think again. Bursting with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, Olive Virgin Oil contains 100% certified organic Flor de Aceite, one of the purest forms of olive oil available. It has a superior ability to moisturize and soften skin and to help you achieve a remarkably healthier complexion. Its unique hydrophilic properties allow it to form a protective moisture barrier against irritants without clogging pores. Warm a couple of drops between your palms, gently press onto your face, and let the revitalization begin.

(This sachet is really, really small. About 1.2″ x 1″ maybe? My first thought was what kind of nonsense trial is this? Confirm not enough. The marketing person behind this idea pre-empts damn well – its written clearly that this can be used up to four times!)

I’ve also just decided that I’m stuffing this into Beauty Bits. I’ll probably get around to trying these things someday so just wait k?
