Why Singapore is COOL

How cool is this?

Lightedpixels Photography was doing what they do best as East Coast.. taking wedding pictures of a yet unnamed couple. A fellow Singaporean happened to be jogging at the same time and was invited to be part of the shoot.

Behold, someone extremely familiar and completely unrelated to the couple…

No ordinary stranger.

Apparently, Mr Nathan is no stranger to the jogging tracks at ECP and he happened to be taking a break. I have no idea why, but Lightedpixels Photography (very timidly, I assume) asked if His EXcellency would deign to be part of the shoot. For some reason, he agreed and 2 people in Singapore are going to have a beyond-celebrity-status-plus-no-need-pay-money calefare in their wedding album forever.

This picture… incites a funny happy feeling to me. It makes me proud to be Singaporean – that an ex-president would give up his time to bring a little joy to his fellow countrymen. It might not have taken much time or effort, but it is his thought that counts.

Mr S.R. Nathan, I salute you.
